Synopsis. A noted Communist spy plots to steal the plans for Operation Bouquet, a missile project that is under development at Meridian, a defense institute in Connecticut. When the Bureau suspects that a scientist employed by Meridian may be in cahoots with Tabor, Erskine poses as the company’s chief security officer to thwart the plot.

After violating his parole from a federal prison in Salt Lake City, Utah, convicted armed robber Dale Fisher, along with his accomplice Graham Newcomb, kidnap eighteen-year-old Wendy Rankin from a riding stable in Colorado and transport her to the John Colter National Forest in Wyoming—the same location where the girl’s biological father, a convicted hold-up artist, allegedly hid $400,000 from a heist in Salt Lake City ten years before.

Synopsis. In Castle City, Wisconsin, Inspector Lewis Erskine and Special Agent Jim Rhodes track down Francis Jerome, an escaped convict who murders a young couple in Philadelphia before surfacing in his hometown of Castle City. The female victim in Philadelphia was found strangled with her own hair—a peculiar M.O. that Jerome repeats when he attempts to kill Castle City resident Jean Davis. Erskine must prevent Jerome from attacking Jean again.

THE RUNNER

A once-promising college football running back, Cliff Wade (played by David Soul) resorted to crime after taking a $5,000 payment—a violation of a conference rule that cost him his eligibility and ruined his future. After engineering his escape from prison, Wade kidnaps his former college sweetheart, Margo Bengston (Belinda J. Montgomery)—the daughter of the rancher who is directly responsible for Wade’s disgrace—and takes her deep into the Oregon mountains, where he desperately hopes to rekindle their romance while also plotting his escape across the river en route to Mexico.
