1. THE HAMMER OF C BLOCK
    Original Air Date:
    January 9, 1976

Synopsis. Gandolf Fitch (played by Isaac Hayes) received the death penalty after he was convicted of the brutal murder of his girlfriend Lila McGee, but the sentence was reduced to life imprisonment after one year. Released after serving twenty years, Fitch calls on former prison mate Rockford to collect on a five-year-old debt (Jim lost $1,500 to Gandy in a crap game one night). But Gandy, who claims he was framed, offers Rockford a deal: he’ll waive the debt if “Rockfish” (as he calls Jim) can help him find the real killer.   Grammy and Academy Award-winning vocalist/composer Isaac Hayes had recently started his acting career around the time “The Hammer of C Block” was being cast.
